PRODUCT DETAILS
Durable Black Nylon Rods for High-Performance Engineering Use
Our Black PA6 Nylon Rod is a versatile and durable engineering plastic rod designed for a wide range of mechanical, structural, and industrial applications. Available in diameters of 10mm (0.4"), 12mm (0.5"), 20mm (0.8"), and 30mm (1.2"), all rods are precisely cut to a length of 250mm (9.8"), offering easy handling and compatibility with CNC, lathe, and manual machining setups.
Crafted from high-quality PA6 (Polyamide 6) material, this black nylon rod features exceptional wear resistance, high tensile strength, and excellent machinability—ideal for manufacturing machine parts, bushings, pulleys, gears, and structural components across multiple industries.
Key Features and Benefits
-
High-Strength PA6 Material: Delivers superior durability, mechanical toughness, and excellent impact resistance for dynamic and static load-bearing applications.
-
Smooth Machinability: Easy to cut, shape, or machine with CNC routers, mills, or lathes—perfect for both prototyping and production runs.
-
Wear and Friction Resistance: Low coefficient of friction reduces maintenance and ensures reliable operation in moving assemblies.
-
Industrial-Grade Dimensions: Standard 250mm (9.8") length with options for 10mm, 12mm, 20mm, and 30mm diameters—suitable for precise part fitting and minimal waste.
-
Chemical and Abrasion Resistance: Resists oils, fuels, solvents, and physical abrasion, making it a go-to material for high-performance environments.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I cut this nylon rod to a custom length myself?
Yes. PA6 nylon rods can be easily cut using a handsaw, bandsaw, or CNC equipment.
Q: Do you offer custom diameters or CNC processing?
Absolutely. We offer both OEM and custom orders. Simply contact us with your drawing or specs.
Q: Is this rod suitable for outdoor or UV-exposed environments?
While PA6 resists moisture and wear, for prolonged UV exposure, we recommend UV-stabilized variants. Contact us for alternatives.
Q: How does PA6 compare with POM or PTFE?
PA6 offers better impact resistance and is more affordable. It’s ideal for sliding parts where toughness matters. POM is more dimensionally stable; PTFE is more chemical resistant.

CUSTOM FABRICATION
Can't Find the Right Size or Specification?
Send your drawing or dimensions, material grade if known, quantity and intended use. We review feasibility and confirm the specification for each quoted project.
Project Requirements
Identify the critical dimensions, tolerances, surface finish and inspection requirements. Any required food-contact, ESD, flame-retardant or other compliance documents should be specified so availability can be checked. Material names alone do not establish these properties.
Custom Order Process
Submit the requirements for review. The quotation will identify the agreed specification, quantity, production lead time and inspection requirements. Shipping method, shipping charges and tax responsibilities are confirmed separately from production timing. Approve the final quotation and specification before ordering.
Send Your Drawing or Requirements
Use the enquiry form to send your project details and a file link, or email drawings to beeplastic@beeplastic.com. Include the product and specification. If the material grade or tolerance is uncertain, describe the intended use for review.
